During the period from the 11th till the 14th of February 2016 Riga Aeronautical Institute was visited by the Managing Director of "Kazaeronavigatsia", Mrs.Karlygash Kaken, and the Parliamentary Deputy of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mrs.Nadezhda Petuhova. On Monday, the 8th of February 2016, Riga Aeronautical Institute launched the Type Training Boeing 737 Classic, Category B1 Training course. This training course will be finalized on the 14th of March. If successfully completed, the participants will be awarded Part-147 certificate in accordance with EASA requirements.

On the 19th of December 2015 as a part of the training process quality upgrade Riga Aeronautical Institute (RAI) convened a meeting dedicated to organizational and methodological issues. The meeting was attended by the representatives of Rezekne and Daugavpils branches and their students from the first, second, third and fourth years of study.
During the meeting RAI management and employees demonstrated the possibilities of the Institute, discussed with the participants modern teaching methods and organized experience exchange between Riga branch and other branch lecturers.
