On the 28th -29th of October 2015 Almaty, Kazakhstan, hosted an international workshop "Legal issues of international and national regulation of civil aviation". The workshop was organized by KAZAERONAVIGATSIA Training Center.

On the 11th of September RAI administrative and methodological meeting took place, which was attended by RAI management, academic staff and students' self-government representatives. On September the 8th 2015, Riga Aeronautical Institute convened the opening ceremony for the 2015/2016th academic year. The ceremony was attended by RAI academic staff and students, including the 1st year students. Civil aviation is one of the global spheres of the world transport industry. Riga Aeronautical Institute actively expands its geography and develops international connections. On the 17th of August 2015 RAI was visited by the Latvia Ambassador to US, Andris Razāns.
The aim of the visit was to get acquainted with RAI structure and activities. Special attention was dedicated to Pelican Flight Training school, which belongs to RAI and is located on the territory of USA.
This school is an interesting example of the integration of the two states in the sphere of pilot training.
