From the 13th to 15th of December Riga Aeronautical Institute organized a joint event which included planned studies of the extra mural division, informative and methodological meeting, Latgale branch session and open door day for the future enrollment candidates.
On the 14th of December we conducted informative and methodological meeting for the students of Latgale branch, where Alexander Sokolov, "Kreiss" Project Manager of the Functional Management Department, made a presentation on behalf of the employers. The subject of the presentation was "Requirements of the transportation companies regarding the knowledge and skills of the higher academic education establishment graduates". In his speech Alexander Sokolov paid special attention to such features of the future specialists as "ability to learn", "wish to improve all the aspects", "ability to take the responsibility and solve the problems". It was also stressed that it is necessary to know foreign languages, including the so-called "working languages", namely English, Latvian and Russian as well as "additional profile languages", namely Spanish, German and Chinese. The employers also confirmed the quality of training of our graduates in such spheres as customs operations, cargo and other logistics subjects.
Student Anora Saidiolimova, who is studying for her Master Degree in group IO-57Rm, made a presentation "Experience of Erasmus +". She told about her stay in Germany in the frame of the program mentioned above and shared the information regarding the Erasmus + opportunities.
After having attended the meeting the students started their session, tests and exams.
Future enrollment candidates had an opportunity to learn about the study programs and professions offered by RAI and participated in the excursion at the Institute.
