Riga Aeronautical Institute is one of the oldest educational institutions for training aviation specialists not only in Latvia, but also on a European and global scale. We have accumulated a wealth of experience and traditions of training specialists in the aviation and transport sectors. 

A vocational education module is integrated into higher education diploma programs. This allows, within a single program, to ensure compliance with different standards and a clear separation of blocks of academic education, vocational training and the acquisition of professional skills.

The teaching staff of RAI is selected in such a way as to ensure a combination of classical academic principles and practical orientation of training. We involve both lecturers with a solid academic background and scientific degrees, as well as instructors who are currently actively working in applied fields. To train pilots, air traffic controllers, mechanics, and electronics engineers, specialists working in air traffic control organizations and airlines and having a valid international rating are actively recruited.
