On Friday, September 26, Riga Aeronautical Institute officially inaugurated its new 3D Air Traffic Control Simulator, designed for basic, intermediate, and advanced ATC training.The simulator enables realistic air traffic management — assigning routes, issuing departure and arrival clearances, coordinating airspace, and preventing conflicts. High-resolution visuals recreate airport environments with moving and stationary aircraft, vehicles, terrain, markings, variable weather, time of day, and lighting.

At the ICAO Assembly in Montreal, the project “Green Corridors”, developed by specialists from RSE “Kazaeronavigatsia”, won 3rd place in the prestigious Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Aviation Award, competing with 52 countries, 84 projects, and 194 participants.

On the 4th of October, Riga Aeronautical Institute organizes OPEN DOOR DAY. 

The Riga Aviation Forum (RAF) 2025 gathered representatives, experts, researchers, and leaders of the aviation industry from the Baltics and Europe to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the aviation sector in the region. The conference highlighted strategic development directions as well as innovative solutions on the path towards sustainable and climate-neutral aviation. Special focus was given to aviation innovations, multimodality, urban development around air transport hubs, and mobility challenges in modern cities

The administrative and methodological meeting is an important annual event with participation of all stuff of the institute. On the 5 ^th of September, the Riga Aeronautical Institute held an Administrative and Methodological Meeting to review the results of the 2024/2025 academic year, discuss the institute’s development goals, and outline tasks for the new study year. The meeting also addressed student admission, the development of the Erasmus+ program, financial results, and organizational matters of the Senate.
