In the period from the 16th to 20th  October,  RAI Training Center  organized a training course "Safety Management Systems in ATC/ATM organizations".
The training course is designed for the top and middle management of air navigation services enterprises and includes different topics such as the organization of a safety management system,a risk management system, emergency response management and other important aspects.
The management and instructive staff of the RAI  would like to thank Faat Bogdashkin, Deputy General Director of RSE "Kazaeronavigatsia", for the active participation in the above mentioned course and mutual exchange of experience in the field of safety management.

On the 22th of September the RAI finalized the "ATCO Basic Training Course" and awarded the certificates to the students of the state enterprise "Kazaeronavigatsia".
Moreover, a commercial pilot license was awarded to the RAI student Karen Cvetanovich, who successfully completed a full course of professional training for a commercial pilot, including such programs and ratings as PPL, CPL, ATPL, IR, MEP (FCL).
On behalf of the RAI administration and instructors we congratulate them and wish them a successful professional career!

On the 21th of September 2017 in the frame of the ERASMUS + program, RAI was visited by the lecturer from the Belastok Technical University (Poland), PhD Wojciech Tarasiuk, who conducted open lectures on the topics "CAx education and Tribological Problems during the Compaction of Granular Media as Exemplified by Sand - Lime Mixture".
A working meeting was held at the level of the Dean and the Administration, where further cooperation plans were discussed.

On the 15th and 16th September, the Riga Aeronautical Institute participated in the exhibition organized by the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LTRK) "Business Days in Latgale 2017", which took place in Daugavpils, Olympic Center. The visitors had an opportunity to get acquainted with RAI's offered study programs and educational opportunities in Daugavpils and Riga.

Since its establishment, your training institution has always contributed to the community of aviation professionals worldwide, graduating an impressive number of people in the areas of Transport Services, Electronics and Mechanics and training many aviation specialists (e.g. pilots, aircraft maintenance engineers, air traffic controllers).

On September the 5th 2017, Riga Aeronautical Institute convened the opening ceremony for the 2017/2018th academic year. The ceremony was attended by RAI academic staff and students, including the 1st year students. The ceremony was opened by the Rector Anatolijs Melnis, who greeted the students with the start of the new academic year.
During the ceremony the students which demonstrated excellent study results and actively participated in social activities during the previous study year, were awarded with certificates of gratitude.

RAI management and academic staff wished creativity, intellectual curiosity and diligence to all the students in order to reach new achievements.

Karen Cvetanovich, RAI student, has successfully completed a professional training course for commercial pilot, including PPL, CPL, ATPL, IR, MEP ratings and programs.
Karen has passed all the tests and exams necessary to receive commercial pilot license. The next step for a successful professional career is obtaining a higher education diploma "Air Transport Systems Management".
We congratulate Karen on successful completion of the program!

Riga Aeronautical Institute (RAI) together with the larger higher education establishments and enterprises of Latvia is participating in the international exhibition "World Expo 2017" (Astana, Kazakhstan).
The head of RAI delegation at the exhibition is the External Relations Manager, Asnata Venckava.

Riga Aeronautical Institute has successfully concluded participation in ESF project named "Support for EQAR agency to implement specific requirements"
Within the framework of the pilot project, the RAI study area "Transport services" was evaluated and accredited with the following study programs:
1. Professional bachelor study program “Air traffic management”; 
2. Professional bachelor study program “International transport logistics”;
3. Professional bachelor study program “International carrier business management”;
4. Professional master study program “International carrier business management”.

The State Revenue Service of the Republic of Latvia, represented by its General Director, Ilze Cirule, in her letter of 01.05.2017 in the form of a thank-you note, confirmed the conscientious and exemplary performance of all legal acts by the Riga Air Navigation Institute and therefore will not conduct any control measures.
