On 10 September, representatives of the Riga Aeronautical Institute (RAI) took part in Riga Aviation Forum 2026 (RAF 2026) — a major aviation industry event bringing together experts, industry leaders and representatives of academic institutions from Latvia, the Baltic region and across Europe. RAI was represented by Dr. sc. comp. Vladimirs Reiskarts, Vice-Rector for Science, and Dr. sc. ing. Arturs Kokars, Director of the Training Centre. This year’s forum focused on key developments shaping the future of aviation, including Baltic aviation development, digitalisation and artificial intelligence, modernisation of air navigation systems, aviation workforce development, innovation and decarbonisation. Participation in Riga Aviation Forum 2026 provided RAI with an opportunity to strengthen cooperation with aviation industry and academic partners, establish new professional connections, and discuss current trends and future opportunities in education, professional training and research.

RAI continues to actively contribute to the development of the aviation sector by strengthening the connection between knowledge, innovation, professional education and the evolving needs of the industry.
