Since 2010 Riga Aeronautical Institute is a partner in Pelican Flight Training LLC, based at North Perry Airport, Pembroke Pines, Florida, USA, which has been training professional pilots on a continuous basis since 1985. This school has an excellent reputation and strong training ethic, which was acknowledged when Pelican Flight Training was named 'School of Special Merit' by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC).

We are proud to announce that today this school is one of only eight flight training schools in the USA, accredited by ACCSC, which is approved for the issue of the F1 student visa.

 RAI/Pelican FTC provide our students with airline pilot training from basic to medium-jet type rating utilizing both Federal Aviation Administration and Joint Aviation Authority procedures standards.

On the 23rd of January 2011 the group of ATC specialists from Republican State Enterprise "Kazaeronavigatsia" has arrived at RAI to obtain the certificate of professional development in the program " Skills development training course fot ATC specialists "

Riga Aeronautical Institute invites everybody interested to submit an application form/register for the participation in the pilot training programme to receive frozen ATPL.
To be enrolled the applicant should have the following qualifications:
1. Perfect knowledge of the English language (please indicate the graduation mark or certificate in the CV);
2. Finalized secondary education;
3. Good health.
In addition to frozen ATPL Riga Aeronautical Institute offers to receive the qualification of Aviation Engineer/Pilot in the frame of the Bachelor’s Degree Program “Management of Air Transport Systems”.

On the 19th of January 2011 the Private Higher Schools Association convened its working meeting on the basis and at the premises of Riga Aeronautical Institute.

The working meeting was attended by the representatives of high schools – members of the Association. The participants discussed plans and perspectives of the Association’s work for the current year.

  On the 17th of January 2011 in the hotel «Radisson BLU» the company AirCrew Services and Riga Aeronautical Institute conducted a seminar dedicated to the implementation of the joint pilot training program.

The list of seminar participants included the representatives of the AirCrew Services, airBaltic Corporation, Riga Aeronautical Institute and also 400 applicants for the pilot training program.

The seminar dealt with different aspects of the training in the frame of the above mentioned program and also with different requirements and prospects connected to the commercial pilot job.

During the period from the 18th of January till the 15th of February 2011 the company AirCrew Services will select the best candidates which then will start their training in order to receive their CPL and ATPL frozen licenses.

If you are interested in aviation and you comply with the appropriate requirements, send us your application and on the 17th of January 2011 learn more about pilot profession, training process, selection criteria and order.
To participate in the initial selection processes it is necessary to have:
- secondary school education;

- very good knowledge of English (it is necessary to indicate the final school mark in the application);
- interest about aviation;
- ability to learn quickly and acquire new information;
- good physical health.
