Dear students and academic staff!

The April cycle of distance learning will take place from April 24 to April 26 online in the Moodle environment!

Due to  the current situation in the country and in the World, in order to ensure compliance with the Cabinet of Ministers Decree N 103 "On declaring an emergency" and the order of the Vice-Rector of the RAI "On the organization of the educational process", the April cycle will take place from April 24 to April 26 online in the Moodle environment using the new BigBlueButton platform!

On the 7th of February RAI was visited by the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan Timur Primbetov, the Counsellor Kairat Kambarov and the First Secretary Marat Askarov. On behalf of RAI the participants were Vice-president Michail Karol, Vice Rector for Development Jurijs Maklakovs and administration representatives. During the meeting the participants discussed the student training, mutual cooperation projects and possible future projects. The guests also had a meeting with Kazakh students studying in RAI, including air traffic controllers and engineers of airport ground equipment maintenance..

Riga Aviation Forum’s Scientific Conference to Focus on Sustainable Development of the Industry

The Latvian Aviation Association, together with the Riga Technical University, the Transport and Telecommunication Institute and the Riga Aeronautical Institute, is committed to facilitate the development of innovative Latvian aviation research by organizing an annual scientific conference on aviation. This is evidenced by the cooperation agreement signed on January 10 this year, in which the parties agreed to promote the development of innovative Latvian aviation research and opinion leadership within European aviation.

The first ever Riga Aviation Forum’s Scientific Conference will take place on May 21, 2020. Organizers of the conference, in cooperation with its main sponsor airBaltic, have this year put the issue of sustainable aviation at the heart of the conference...

On December 19, a group of future air traffic controllers from Kazakhstan successfully completed their training. At the graduation event, future specialists were awarded certificates confirming the implementation of the program "ATCO ab initio course with flight training" and passing the English language exam at the 4th ICAO working level. The event was attended by RAI management, representatives of the Provost Office, as well as instructors and the administration. We wish our graduates a further successful career!

We are pleased to announce that on December 19 there was a graduation of briefing specialists who studied at RAI under the "ARO-Briefing specialists course (Basic)" program. Future specialists have successfully mastered such disciplines as AIS, Meteorology, Human Factor and other subjects important for practical work. We wish them to apply their knowledge in the workplace and a smooth landing as soon as they return home!
