1.On behalf of the European and North Atlantic Office of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICA) I wish to extend my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of Riga Aeronautical Institute (RAI). Since its establishment, your training institution has always contributed to the community of aviation professionals worldwide, graduating an impressive number of people in the areas of Transport Services, Electronics and Mechanics and training many aviation specialists (e.g. pilots, aircraft maintenance engineers, air traffic controllers).

On September the 5th 2017, Riga Aeronautical Institute convened the opening ceremony for the 2017/2018th academic year. The ceremony was attended by RAI academic staff and students, including the 1st year students. The ceremony was opened by the Rector Anatolijs Melnis, who greeted the students with the start of the new academic year.
During the ceremony the students which demonstrated excellent study results and actively participated in social activities during the previous study year, were awarded with certificates of gratitude.

RAI management and academic staff wished creativity, intellectual curiosity and diligence to all the students in order to reach new achievements. 

Riga Aeronautical Institute (RAI) together with the larger higher education establishments and enterprises of Latvia is participating in the international exhibition "World Expo 2017" (Astana, Kazakhstan).
The head of RAI delegation at the exhibition is the External Relations Manager, Asnata Venckava.
In the frame of the education week at the exhibition RAI represents a full range of possibilities to receive higher education diplomas and professional licenses and certificates in aviation, transports and logistics. ESF project „Support for EQAR agency to implement specific requirements”

Riga Aeronautical Institute has successfully concluded participation in ESF project named "Support for EQAR agency to implement specific requirements"
Within the framework of the pilot project, the RAI study area "Transport services" was evaluated and accredited with the following study programs:
1. Professional bachelor study program “Air traffic management”; 
2. Professional bachelor study program “International transport logistics”;
3. Professional bachelor study program “International carrier business management”;
4. Professional master study program “International carrier business management”.

Riga Aeronautical Institute has a solid registered capital, conducts active operations in the field of education and science, which allows it to meet its tax obligations timely and to a full extent.

The State Revenue Service of the Republic of Latvia, represented by its General Director, Ilze Cirule, in her letter of 01.05.2017 in the form of a thank-you note, confirmed the conscientious and exemplary performance of all legal acts by the Riga Air Navigation Institute and therefore will not conduct any control measures.

On the 27th of April we have convened the final training session of the course „Profession of today”. During the course participants noted the possibilities of RAI studios, also visited the airport “Riga”.
Upon the completion of the course each of the participants received a certificate which gives the advantages for the enrollment in RAI.

Riga Aeronautical Institute successfully continues to conduct refresher courses in the different spheres of civil aviation industry.
On the 31st of March this year we have finalized the refresher course "Aeronautical Meteorological Forecaster Course" for “Kazaeronavigatsia” meteorological specialists.
We wish them a successful development of their career and will be happy to see them again in RAI!

On the 27th of March the graduates of the program "Management of International Transportation Enterprise" were awarded by their diplomas in the RAI conference hall.

We sincerely congratulate our bachelors with completion of their studies and we look forward to see them at master’s program! 

Riga Aeronautical Institute successfully is continuing its winter season of the refresher courses.
The aim of the courses is to provide the trainees with a new theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as to inform about the latest developments and trends in the appropriate fields of activity. All refresher courses include a linguistic component.
On the 10th of March, RAI finalized the winter season refresher courses "Air Traffic Management and Aviation English", "Electronic Equipment maintenance for ATC Centres" and "ATC Supervisor Refresher and Professional Development Training Course".
