On the 25th of February Andris Teikmanis, the Latvian Ambassador to the USA, visited Riga Aeronautical Institute flight training base in Florida - the pilot school Pelican Flight Training.

On 10 of February 2017 the Company Aeronautical EANS (Estonia) leading specialists have successfully completed the qualification course "ATC Supervisor Refresher and Professional Development Training Course" and received certificates.
On behalf of the administration and the academic staff, we congratulate and wish them success in their careers!

On the 20th of January 2017 Riga Aeronautical Institute academic personnel successfully completed the refresher training program "Innovations in Higher Education"

On the 12th of April we have convened the final training session of the course "Profession of today". During the course participants noted the possibilities of RAI studios, also visited the airport "Riga". Upon the completion of the course each of the participants received a certificate which gives the advantages for the enrollment in RAI.

On the 22nd of December, 2016 Riga Aeronautical Institute conducted a corporate New Year's Eve party for the teaching and administrative staff. The Institute top managers made a short summary on the results achieved and congratulated the personnel of RAI on the upcoming year 2017 

In December 2016 Riga Aeronautical Institute has successfully recertified the ATC training programs in the frame of ATS TO (Air Traffic Service Training Organization) in accordance with the requirements of the new EU Regulation Nr.340/2015, which is entering into force on the 1st of January 2017.
Based on the results of the recertification audit, Latvian Civil Aviation Agency has awarded RAI with the certificate LVA/ATS TO/02/2016 for the following ATC training programs:

On the 17th of December 2016 as a part of the training process quality upgrade Riga Aeronautical Institute (RAI) convened a meeting dedicated to organizational and methodological issues. The meeting was attended by RAI management and the representatives of Rezekne and Daugavpils branches and their students from the first, second, third and fourth years of study.

Riga Aeronautical Institute (RAI) participates in the ESF project "Support EQAR agency set to comply with" which is launched by the Academic Information Centre

On the 27th of October Riga Aeronautical Institute successfully completed the courses for labor protection specialists.
The purpose of the course is to provide knowledge on the main issues of labor protection, to familiarize the trainees with the appropriate regulations, to learn to identify and eliminate the risk factors at the working places, which is necessary in order to perform the professional duties of labor protection at the enterprise.
On behalf of the RAI administration and instructors we congratulate the course participants on the successful completion of training. We also wish them success and look forward to welcome them again in RAI!

Riga Aeronautical Institute successfully continues autumn - winter season of the refresher courses.
The aim of the courses is to provide the trainees with a new theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as to inform about the latest developments and trends in the appropriate fields of activity. All refresher courses include linguistic component.
On the 28th of October, RAI finalized the refresher course "Air Traffic Management and Aviation English" and awarded the certificates to the students of the state enterprise "Kazaeronavigatsia".
