On the 7th of February RAI was visited by the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan Timur Primbetov, the Counsellor Kairat Kambarov and the First Secretary Marat Askarov. On behalf of RAI the participants were Vice-president Michail Karol, Vice Rector for Development Jurijs Maklakovs and administration representatives. During the meeting the participants discussed the student training, mutual cooperation projects and possible future projects. The guests also had a meeting with Kazakh students studying in RAI, including air traffic controllers and engineers of airport ground equipment maintenance..

Juris Maklakovs, Vice-Rector for Development at Riga Aeronautical Institut, visited Barbele Boys' Elementary School. During the meeting, issues related to aviation education and potential cooperation were discussed.

Riga Aviation Forum’s Scientific Conference to Focus on Sustainable Development of the Industry

The Latvian Aviation Association, together with the Riga Technical University, the Transport and Telecommunication Institute and the Riga Aeronautical Institute, is committed to facilitate the development of innovative Latvian aviation research by organizing an annual scientific conference on aviation. This is evidenced by the cooperation agreement signed on January 10 this year, in which the parties agreed to promote the development of innovative Latvian aviation research and opinion leadership within European aviation.

The first ever Riga Aviation Forum’s Scientific Conference will take place on May 21, 2020. Organizers of the conference, in cooperation with its main sponsor airBaltic, have this year put the issue of sustainable aviation at the heart of the conference...

We heartily congratulate our Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Konstantin Savenkov on successfully defending his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences on the topic "Conceptual approaches to the formation and development of the collaboration model of the National Innovation system of Latvia"!

On December 19, a group of future air traffic controllers from Kazakhstan successfully completed their training. At the graduation event, future specialists were awarded certificates confirming the implementation of the program "ATCO ab initio course with flight training" and passing the English language exam at the 4th ICAO working level. The event was attended by RAI management, representatives of the Provost Office, as well as instructors and the administration. We wish our graduates a further successful career!

We are pleased to announce that on December 19 there was a graduation of briefing specialists who studied at RAI under the "ARO-Briefing specialists course (Basic)" program. Future specialists have successfully mastered such disciplines as AIS, Meteorology, Human Factor and other subjects important for practical work. We wish them to apply their knowledge in the workplace and a smooth landing as soon as they return home!

From the 13th to 15th of December Riga Aeronautical Institute organized a joint event which included planned studies of the extra mural division, informative and methodological meeting, Latgale branch session and open door day for the future enrollment candidates.
On the 14th of December we conducted informative and methodological meeting for the students of Latgale branch, where Alexander Sokolov, "Kreiss" Project Manager of the Functional Management Department...

On the 14th of December, 2019 Riga Aeronautical Institute organizes RAI information day. The meeting will take place at 11.00, auditory 003. The visitors will have a possibility to ask questions about enrollment and study opportunities. They will also have a possibility to see the RAI premises.

On the 13th of November at 14.45 RAI will conduct informative and organization meeting for the pilot students in the classroom 312B. The topics to be discussed will include the process of obtaining Flight Crew License, visa procedures, linguistic aspects and any other issues which may be of interest to the participants.
